Gilles has 20 years of professional experience assisting national and international clients manage strategy issues, restructuring programs, acquisitions, and alliances. He was a Director at Ernst & Young from 2004 to 2007 in charge of the creation of the French Transaction Integration Services business. Prior to that, Gilles was a Principal in the Business Transformation and Strategy Team of Capgemini Consulting France and developed its Mergers and Alliances Center of Excellence. Gilles has also created the Equity Research team of Finacor-Bourse (now Exane-BNP Paribas) and has worked for the MAC Group.
His experience covers a wide array of sectors: telecommunications, civil engineering, energy and utilities, insurance, banking, defence and aerospace, chemicals, consumer products and transport. His work has included complex programme management, post-deal integration project management, re-engineering of the M&A process, and implementation of re-structuring plans. Gilles has significant international experience in Europe, the US and Africa. He has lived in Mali, the US, Lebanon, Italy, Morroco, Switzerland, the UK, and the Netherlands.
Gilles is originally a graduate from the HEC Management School. He holds a DEA (PhD prelims) from the University of Paris-Dauphine with a specialisation in Strategy and Organisations and another pre-doctorate from the CNAM on Long-term Planning and Forecasting. He is an Adivsory Board member of Fair-M&A, and a group member of the Académie des Sciences et Techniques Comptables et Financières (GT 32 - Managing Acquisition Risks). He speaks English, Italian and understands Spanish.
