June 17th, 2009- Paris, France- Conference at Euronext

 

As a contributor to the GT32 task force and a sponsor of this work, PMI Factory® has participated in the presentation of the final version of the White Paper prepared on M&A Risks. This presentation has been done under the chairmanship of W. Nahum, head of the Académie des Sciences et Techniques Comptables et Financières. The conference has been attended by c.100 executives and M&A professionals .

April 3rd, 2009- Paris, France- Conference at LEXposia-CNIT

 

As a contributor to the Académie des Sciences et Techniques Comptables et Financières, PMI Factory® participated in a conference organised by the Conseil Superieur de l'Ordre des Experts Comptables. LEXposia is an event designed for accountants and lawyers. About 100 professionals registered for this conference, organised to present the key conclusions of the work done by the GT32 task force on M&A risks.  Feedback was very positive, confirming the approach of the GT32.

March 9th, 2009- Paris, France- Conference at HEC

 

PMI Factory® took part in a roundtable organised by the Financial Services alumni group of HEC. 50 attendees participated in this event, with positive feedback from the organisers. Attendees were experienced coming from a wide range of backgrounds and functions (retail banking, private banking, investment banking, financial markets, consulting, ...).

March 5th, 2009- Rennes, France- Contribution to the Master of International Finance at Rennes Business School

 

As a visiting professor, Gilles Ourvoie provided a 15-hour course on M&A covering pre-deal to post-deal. This course is part of the Master of International Finance. The course is given in English and aims at providing a general view of M&A and Finance to an international group of students. It covers strategy analysis, due diligence, financial valuation, synergy analysis and other post-deal integration topics. Please contact us if you are interested in our training capabilities.

January 1st, 2009- Paris, France- Launch of the GCC Market Approach with Vanessa Humphrey    

 

PMI Factory® is pleased to announce the start of market coverage of the GCC (Gulf Coast Countries). Vanessa Humphrey     has solid experience in managing complex projects at international level including Arab countries. She has worked on PMI projects at board level. She has a strong experience of the telecoms, financial services and consumer good sectors. She will work with PMI Factory as an Associate Principal, developing business at a local level, and executing projects with the support of the rest of the firm and its hub-based model.

January 13th, 2009- Paris, France- Partnership signed with Fair M&A

 

PMI Factory® has signed a partnership agreement with Fair M&A, enabling the firm to promote, use and sell the M&A Accelerator® platform distributed by Fair M&A and powered by IBM. This agreement supports the strategic view that M&A transactions are processes that start with strategy and end with implementation, and that a high degree of standardisation should be proposed to clients. PMI Factory will support Fair M&A as a preferred partner for PMI-related topics.

July 31st, 2008- London, UK- Launch of the Innovation Process

 

Justin Brodie-Smith launches the Innovation Process as a key component of the overall PMI Factory® approach. Innovation is started on a number of PMI-related aspects including product development and rationalisation, and salesforce integration. Stefano Quario is leading the innovation activities related to IT. This innovation process will be progressively linked to our training programme, and contributions from affiliated consultants will be developed and systematised.

PMI Factory® organises its first meetings in the UK, to accelerate the development of sourcing capabilities and test market reactions. The meetings confirm the opportunity to develop potential win-win solutions on PMI projects, as well as the need to adjust the approach to the specifics of the UK consulting market.

June 24th, 2008- Paris, France - First Level 1 Training Session

 

PMI Factory® organises its first Training Session with consultants coming from various advisory firms (Ernst & Young, Karistem, ICME, AS Lawfirm). This one-day session demonstrates that consultants are highly interested in building PMI skills. Such training enables PMI Factory to ease the joint on-boarding process for projects, and contributes to the selection process of consultants. This specific session serves as a pilot-test for the training program. Justin Brodie-Smith and Gilles Ourvoie facilitate the training session.

May 21st, 2008- Paris, France - Launch of the UK Market Approach with Justin Brodie-Smith

 

PMI Factory® announces its entry into the UK market. The approach is based on replicating the hub-model developed in France. Justin Brodie-Smith will bring a strong knowledge of strategy and transformation consulting, and an in-depth expertise of the telecoms sector. Justin also worked for three years on PMI-related issues at INSEAD.
